Walking for Health – What’s This?

ImageA health walk is essentially a short walk in your local area that has been designed to be suitable for people who don’t normally walk very much and want to get started. All walks are risk assessed and trained Volunteer Walk Leaders lead the group walks.

Anyone can attend and will be made very welcome, just turn up on the day. There is no charge.

Haslington walks are arranged every week on Tuesdays commencing at 1:30pm. Meet on Waterloo Road Car Park (by Bargain Booze) a few minutes before 1:30pm.

The routes follow public footpaths but the ground can be uneven and wet or muddy in some places, especially in the winter months, so it is best to wear strong but comfortable shoes or preferably walking boots if you have them.
