Haslington Parish is situated in the Borough of Cheshire East. It is a large village (population 6,536 according to the 2011 UK Census) lying to the Southeast of the A534, West of the M6 motorway between junctions 16 and 17 and boarders Crewe. The village of Winterley is to the northeast of Haslington. The village of Oakhanger is to the southeast of Haslington.

The Parish has excellent transport links being 3.2km from the mainline railway station and 6km from the M6. Haslington and Winterley are by-passed by the A534 which provides important access to the business park. Oakhanger is adjacent to the B5077.

Generations of the same family live here alongside newer residents. Employment within the Parish is mostly linked to agriculture with local industries having closed. However other local businesses are mostly thriving and the population of the area is increasing due to the business expansion taking place in south Cheshire. Haslington and Winterley are bypassed.

North West in Bloom

In the 2008 North West in Bloom competition Haslington Parish were awarded Joint Second Runner-up in the “Best Small Town” category.

In 2010 Haslington won silver medal in the best small town category and Winterley also won silver in the best large village category.

In 2011 Haslington won silver in the small town category, and Winterley silver in the large village category. In addition The Haslington Conservation Volunteers were awarded “The Pinnacle PSG Trophy for Conservation and the Environment”, one of the top awards in the North West of England.

In 2012 Haslington village won a silver award and Winterley a bronze. Also three of the senior citizen residences won special “It’s Your Neighbourhood” awards.
