Your views wanted on Cheshire policing priorities

Cheshire PCC David Keane, has launched a public consultation to obtain the views of Cheshire residents to find out their priorities for policing and community safety over the next 12 months

As well as asking residents what their top priority for Cheshire Police is, he also wants to know how safe they feel in their area and if they would support a £1.25 per month increase to the policing precept element of council tax to address increasing pressures on Cheshire Constabulary

The government have released the Provisional Police Funding Settlement which sets out the policing budgets for the next financial year starting in March 2021.  The funding referred to in this statement from the government is dependent on local residents paying more in Council tax over the next year

The consultation looks to ensure all residents have the opportunity to have their say on the proposed increase and tell the commissioner what matters most to them in their communities.

Cheshire Police are asking for your support in helping to ensure as many people as possible are reached and this includes some of the hardest to reach individuals in Cheshire.  With the new lockdown announcement, please circulate this survey to all your networks/service users and share on you social media channels.

Here is a link to the survey : https://wh1.snapsurveys.com/siam/surveylanding/surveylogin.asp?sk=160759151682

Please encourage them to have their say as the consultation is only open for a short time and will close at midnight on Sunday 24 January 2021
