Haslington Village Fun Day – Sat 16th May 2015

Haslington will be holding its Annual Village Fun Day on Saturday 16th May 2015 with the new Vicar for St. Matthews, Haslington and St. Michaels, Crewe Green – the Rev’d Jules Walker – formally opening the event on the village green at 11am. There is something for all the family with lots of activities for children and plenty to entertain and amuse the adults too.

In addition to 30 charity stalls aiming to raise funding for worthy causes the Fun Day will include a performance by Winterley Methodist Brass Band together with the village’s renowned dog show, which will once again be professionally judged.

There will be two pedigree classes in the dog show, Pedigree Puppy 6-12 months old and Open Adult Pedigree, and six fun classes ranging from Haslington Best Puppy, 6-12 months old, to the Dog with the Waggiest Tail, prior to the Best in Show class.

To take part in the Dog Show simply turn up on the village green before 12.30pm on the day and book your dog in to the chosen classes. Full details of the individual classes can be obtained by ringing 01270 584582 (after 7pm during the week).

Refreshments will be available both on and close to the village green during the event which is planned to run up to 3pm.
