The police representation was absent from this meeting, but the Chairman had received a report for the area from Lizzie Jolley as follows:

Numerous meetings with Schools in the area, several TRU CAM Haslington resulting in 17 activations; Rural Crime surveys; Foot Patrols in the area.
The problem of speeding in the area still exists and needs to be solved sooner rather than later. The speedwatch team are working hard to alleviate this problem.

The road to Slaughter Hill has a very overgrown hedge that needs cutting back as it is a safety risk.
The road between Hollybush farm and Kents Green lane is in need of urgent attention.

It was reported that there was a dead tree in the verge on Crewe Road Winterley that needs to be removed for safety to the public.

A recent planning application had been proposed to only allow cars to park on the Vicarage Road this has been objected to by the Parish council.

The new play equipment on the playing field is now being looked at by ANSA following the Parish consultation.

It was reported that Aldi had submitted a plan for a new store on University Way Crewe Green

Springfield School was to expand because of the increase in the number of children requiring this kind of school.

The Chairman, Vice Chairman and Treasurer were voted to have delegated powers over issues occurring before the September meeting

It was decided to remove the plants from the middle bed in the layby adjoining Primrose Avenue/Oakland as they were dying through lack of light from the overhanging tree.

A seat on the verge at Winterley Pool was damaged and this was to be repaired immediately and the stone along the Pool was to be put in place to prevent the ducks etc from coming through onto the very busy main road.
