Cheshire East Draft Town Strategy Consultations: 31st August to 01st October 2012.
Town Strategies are being prepared to set out the vision and strategy for the future development of towns in Cheshire East over the next 20 years. The strategies consider how new development can help to deliver the vision for a town, how the environment is to be enhanced and what improvements to infrastructure (such as roads and schools) are needed.
Draft Town Strategies are currently being prepared for Crewe, Handforth, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Nantwich and Poynton.
Public consultation on these documents will take place between the 31st August and 1st October 2012. Exhibitions will be held in the libraries in each of the 6 towns and hard copies of the consultation material including copies of the consultation documents and questionnaires will be made available in the libraries, customer service points in Crewe and Macclesfield, the Council’s offices at Westfields from the 31st August 2012 until the 01st October 2012.

Issues such as the policy relating to Green Gaps (the land areas separating for example Haslington from Crewe) are included in this exercise.
