The first walk took place on Tuesday Afternoon at 1:30pm on 6th November 2007 and started at Waterloo Rd Car Park (Bargain Booze). In total 31 people took part on the short walk of about 2 miles and it took about 45 minutes.
Some of the comments made during the walk were;
“it is something the village has needed for ages its good that someone has taken the lead”, “I have often wanted to walk this path but did not like to by myself”, “It is nice to be out in company of villagers I have never met before”, “That was great can we walk around again”, “When is the next walk?”
In answer to the last comment, please see the latest walks programme under “What’s On“.
If anyone would like to go on the walks more often this can be arranged depending on availability of folk to organise the walks.
