Haslington 250 Home Development – Appeal Hearing Update

Last updated on July 8, 2014

A further message from the “No to Hazel Bank” action group:

A big thank you to all the people who attended the Inquiry at some point during the week and to all those who submitted their objections. It’s been a hard week and it is difficult to tell what will happen.

The Inspector took note of the concerns raised in the submissions which were supported by presentations from 5 residents, Richard Hovey (Haslington Parish Council) and John Hammond, Ward Councillor.

We feel that we have established that there is more than just the 5 year Housing Supply and Open Countryside involved in making a decision about this development.

Just wanted to let you know that the appeal was allowed on 15th August.

I suggest we all photograph as much of Haslington and Winterley as we can before it disappears before our eyes.

Details of the appeal summary are on the planning website Ref: 13/4301N
