Haslington Remembrance Sunday 2020

Sadly, due to the pandemic, the village was unable to come together as it would have usually done. Residents were encouraged to stay at home to take part in the national Doorstep Remembrance

However, Members of the Royal British Legion Haslington and Crewe Green Branch in partnership with Haslington Parish Council on Sunday 8th November 2020 ensured that Remembrance Sunday was still marked to remember those that made the ultimate sacrifice for their country

The Royal British Legion Standard flew high as a small number of wreathes were laid and the the Last Post was played by a member of the Fodens Band at 11am

Haslington Parish Council has also placed ceremonial poppies in the flower bed by the Millennium Stone on the Village Green each bearing the name of those commemorated on Haslington War Memorial

The Royal British Legion Haslington and Crewe Branch and Haslington Parish Council would like to thank everyone who has been involved in helping this important occasion take place
