Royal Wedding Street Party – Victoria Avenue
Posted on 18. May, 2011 by Alan Casey in Local News
Residents of Clifford Grove and Victoria Avenue in Haslington celebrated the Royal Wedding with a street party. All the residents from the cul de sac decorated their homes, which was judged by the longest standing residents Mrs Mason who has lived on the street for 43 years.
The children were treated to a bouncy castle, chalk drawings, painting, and a live DJ who lives on the street. Residents brought their BBQs and everyone lined up their tables and chairs and enjoyed a lunch together.
The festivities went on from 1:30 till 8:30pm. Victoria Avenue was blocked off and the children really enjoyed riding their bikes up and down the road without worrying about traffic.
