Parish Council Meeting Notes – March 2008

After the first three items on the agenda the meeting was closed to allow residents to express their concerns regarding the drinking and anti social behaviour that was taking place on the Gutterscroft playing field. The Chairman told them that Haslington Parish Council were only too aware of these problems and were continually asking Crewe Police for their help in making the playing field a safe place for children to visit. The meeting was attended by Inspector Paul Broadhurst, Sergeant Watkins and PC Nick Moore from Crewe Police. Councillors were informed that PC Nick Moore would be taking up duties to give support to PSCO Mike Hubbard.

Before the meeting began a presentation on the advantages of becoming a Quality Parish Council were outlined by Mr C White from Cheshire Association of Local Councils. This was to be discussed by the Parish Council at the December meeting.

Parish Council Meeting Notes – October 2007

Before the meeting was opened Mr John Coupland gave a presentation to Councillors and residents from Winterley, on plans to develop land at 425 Crewe Road, Winterley. The plan was comprehensive and detailed and afterwards Mr Coupland answered concerns expressed to him by residents. The Chairman welcomed Councillor Mrs Joan White and Councillor Chris Betts back to Parish Council after their illnesses and said she hoped they were now feeling much better.
